The Story of the Man Borned Blind

*The man's faith and knowledge of Jesus was clearer & stronger along the way

[John 9:41] Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

(1) Admit spiritual blindness --> healed by Jesus & forgiven of sins

(2) Refuse to admit spiritual blindness --> guilt remains

Parable of Wedding Feast & Wedding Clothes

[Matt 22:11-14] “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

One needs to have Wedding Clothes to participate in the Wedding Banquet

[Revelation 1:1-2] The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

When the scroll is still sealed, people cannot understand God's word and hence, manmade worship occurs.

[Isaiah 29:10-14]

The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep:
 He has sealed your eyes (the prophets);
 he has covered your heads (the seers).

For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I can’t; it is sealed.” Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I don’t know how to read.”

The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth
 and honor me with their lips,
 but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
 is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
Therefore once more I will astound these people
 with wonder upon wonder;
the wisdom of the wise will perish,
 the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.”
