Parable of Rock mentioned in the Bible

Spiritual Rock = word of God / person with the word

Spiritual meaning of Iron fist = authority to rule from God's word

This is one of the "spiritual vocabulary" that churches talk about as well, because Jesus Christ is referred to as the cornerstone very plainly in the bible.

Bible verses on Jesus as the cornerstone (can also refer to the link from image below):

• 1 Peter 2:4-8

• Ephesians 2:20-22

• Isaiah 28:16

Jesus = Cornerstone*

Applications for today

• God's laws written on our hearts During Moses' era, it is stated that God's word is written on stone tablets [Exodus 24:12]. And in 2 Corinthians 3:3, Paul writes that God's word is written on tablets of human heart.
  

• Our lives to be built on God's word Jesus spoke a parable of building your house on rock [Matt 7:24-27]. This also means to build our lives upon God's word so that it can withstand "that day" Peter is called the "rock" where God will build his church [Matt 16:18]. The church is also to be built upon God's word. During Moses' era, the people drank water from the spiritual rock and satisfied their thirst, and lived [Num 20:11]. That rock which gave "water of life" is Christ [1 Cor 10:4].
  

• God's word will judge the world In Daniel 31:45, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a stone striking the image. The stone (= word of God) judged the image and brought it to an end. Refer to post: The Mountain of Salvation Rev 2:17 --> white stone = words of judgment from God's pastor

Parable of idol mentioned in the Bible

There are 3 different types of "idols" referenced in the bible:

1. Physical idols/images

#2 of the 10 Commandments [Exodus 20:4-5]
You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them.

2. Falsehoods / Mixed Teachings

Habakkuk 2:18 
"Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.

Stay away from food sacrificed to idols --> stay away from falsehoods.
